🎶 I’m a self taught ukulele player (but I dabble at other instruments like piano, viola which I played for like 9 years in school, and guitar). I love singing and song writing but I think it’s best to describe my music as melodic poetry.
🖼️ Docent Specialist (aka tour guide) at the Museum of Fine Arts St Pete leading tours for 6th graders and other Pinellas County kiddos
🤠 Trailblazer Committee member at the James Museum sharing the love of western and wildlife art with other members, volunteering around town and planning events
💻 by day I’m a Senior IT Manager for a small start up that’s kind of like a managed service provider on steroids for a number of remote international organizations
🧑🏾🎓 I studied Modern Dance, Linguistics (briefly), Applied Mathematics, and Information Studies with a focus in Information Security
🥗 I eat mostly plant based, but really just have a sensitive tummy and find eating to be a necessary evil that both allows me to do what I love and takes time away from doing what I love
🌱 House plant enthusiast because I love to see things grow! I think I have somewhere between 60-75 houseplants but I haven’t counted in a while.
I create with various mediums to ask and answer questions about myself, my purpose, and how to make sense of the people and the world around me. I hope to understand myself, feel understood and help others understand themselves better.
It’s been especially helpful in the last few years navigating my transition to live more authentically as a non-binary person and to unmask as a late diagnosed autistic. I like to sing about love and hope even if I’m writing to process difficult feelings. Like how lullabies soothe fussy babies - songwriting, and any art, stops my mind from racing and overwhelming feelings from keeping me up all night.
In my songs I can express what I need to hear from myself and maybe have trouble sharing with others. When I’m not singing or playing the ukulele I like to write poetry, create zines, zen doodles, roller skate and hang out with my pets.
This is a space to hold my art, my long winded writing, links to my music and a store to purchase zines and prints online. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
